Gail Russell
New Zealand country singer Gail Russell has been surrounded by music her entire life starting with her mum and dad. They instilled in her a love for all types of music in her, not just country. She began playing guitar at the age of 15, having performed with a number of other artists from New Zealand and began following in the footsteps of her New Zealand icon cousin and performer, John Hore Grenell. The songwriting journey for Gail began in 2002 when she began submitting her songs to some awards shows in New Zealand, and winning a number of those awards. She continues to release new music as she writes and has had many successes in the country music industry worldwide.
