Kevin Allum
KEVIN ALLUM was born in Dunedin, NZ and has now in his 80th year, developed an interest in country music, both with songwriting and singing. From a musical father, he has always had an interest in poetry and describes himself as a singing poet. Ironically, although the whole country music scene is relatively new for him, he has already gained success as a songwriter with one of his songs called 'I've Always Had A Dream' being picked up by Tasmanian Country Singer - Con Whelan. It became the title track from his new album and achieved success on the Australian Charts last year. Kevin favours the more traditional country sound and has written a tribute to Australian Country Music Legend - Chad Morgan.
Gail Russell has created the melody and the song was recorded by Gary R. Farmer in Flintstone, Georgia, USA.
CHAD MORGAN is an Australian country music singer, songwriter and guitarist well known for his vaudeville style of comic country folk songs. He still performs to his endearing fans after 70 years experience. He's done it in a respectful way to pay tribute to a man who has made a great contribution to the Australian Country Music Scene.
